Specializing in primary and middle grade students, Patricia offers individual, safe, in-person tutoring in her BUBBLE LEARNING STUDIO in Vancouver, as well as ONLINE lessons for children anywhere.

 

With a Master's degree in English and Creative Writing, she has organized reading and writing programs for little ones (and bigger ones) in schools and libraries as well as for the Vancouver Writers Festival.

 

An established tutor in her community, Patricia teaches English Language Arts and Writing and makes reading fun for kids of all ages. Assistance for Math and all elementary subjects is available as well. Students with English as a second language are welcome.

Elementary grade Language Arts classes are an hour long and focus on a variety of skills: reading comprehension, phonics, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, sentence and paragraph structure, and of course, creativity!

Writing classes for older students expand basic skills and introduce all genres of writing (fiction, non-fiction, poetry) while teaching the essentials for report and essay composition.

 

Each lesson is customized for the student and their individual learning abilities and children are supported in a positive and encouraging environment. Additional home assignments and projects are happily supplied and parents are given weekly updates on progress and achievements.
